Shiatsu
What is Shiatsu??
Shiatsu is a technique with its roots in over 3,000 years of traditional Chinese medicine.
In Japan, Shiatsu has been further developed into a comprehensive system of holistic healing. According to this tradition, the health of a person is determined by the energy that flows in the body along the meridians.
According to Far Eastern philosophy, 12 meridians supply all the areas of the body and organs with vital energy, Qi.
If this energy is balanced, you feel well. If it is blocked, you don’t feel well and this can show up in symptoms of illnesses and can ultimately cause diseases. Today Shiatsu is recognized in many areas of western medicine as a complementary treatment method.
What is Shiatsu recommended for?
Shiatsu can help prevent various kinds of disorders and diseases and promotes general health. The treatment is useful for many illnesses caused by modern lifestyles, such as:

- Back pain, spinal disorders

How does Shiatsu work?
